Overview

In 1829, nine year-old orphan Jane Eyre (Peggy Ann Garner) is sent by her despicable aunt Mrs. Reed (Agnes Moorehead) to Lowood Institution, a charity school directed by the cruel and stingy Mr. Henry Brocklehurst (Henry Daniell).
